Privacy Policy

Last updated November 3, 2026

Word Baddie ("we", "us") is a daily word search at wordbaddie.com, made by Young Algorithm. This page explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

  • Google account basics — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture.
  • Game data — your username, scores, solve times, streaks, hints used, mode preference and unfinished puzzle progress.
  • Clue feedback — signed-in players can flag confusing clues. We combine these flags with completion and hint counts in private puzzle reports; these reports do not show player identities.
  • Friends games — rooms you create or join and your results in them.
  • Invitations — a referral link may be remembered on your device for up to 30 days. If you create an account, we may record who invited you. Inviting players see only their total number of new signups, not your identity or email.
  • Your browser — if you play without signing in, progress is stored only on your device.

How we use it

  • To run the game, save your progress and sync it between your devices.
  • To show leaderboards. Your username, scores and times may appear publicly; your email never does.
  • To keep the game fair and prevent abuse.
  • To improve puzzle clues using private completion counts, hint use and confusion feedback.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data, show ads, or share your information with advertisers.

Service providers

We use Google for sign-in and a secure cloud hosting provider to store game data. They process data only to provide those services.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and data, email k8@youngalgorithm.com.

Children

Word Baddie isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the date above.
